Mangalore chicken curry


Ingredient

Chicken - 1 medium size
oil - 3 to 4 tbsp
onions - 2 ( sliced )
tomatoes - 2
coriander ( cilantro ) leaves for garnishing
salt to taste

Grind together :
Coriander seeds - 1 tsp
cumin seeds - 1 tsp
peppercorns - 5
garlic flakes - 5 - 6
red chillies - 8 ( you may vary it depending on your requirement )
cinnamon - 1
cloves - 3
turmeric powder - 1 tsp
coconut - 1/4
onions - 2
tamarind - 1 marble sized ball

Method

Cut the chicken into small pieces and boil with tomatoes , 1 sliced
onion and salt in 1 cup water.Set aside.
In a heavy bottomed pan heat oil and fry the other sliced onion till
golden brown.
Add the ground masala and fry for few minutes.
Add the boiled chicken along with the stock.Stir.
Cook covered and simmer till gravy thickens.
Garnish & Serve hot with steamed rice.
