Coorgi Chicken Curry
Ingredients
Chicken (cut into small pieces) - 1 Kg
Onions (finely chopped) - 2
Green chillies (chopped) - 2
oil - 2 tbsp
water 1 cup
For marination
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Chillie powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Black vinegar (diluted) - 1/2 tsp
salt to taste
For gravy
Grated Coconut - 1 1/2 cup
Cloves - 3 pcs
Cinnamon - 3 pcs
Cardamom (pealed) - 2
Cumin - 1 tsp
mustard - 1/2 tsp
Grind the above ingredients to a paste
Method
Wash the chicken pieces and marinate with given
ingredients for 30 minutes. Heat the oil in a pan and add green
chillies and chopped onions till it turns golden brown. Add the
chicken and cook till alomost done. Now add the ground paste to
the chicken and cook for 10 minutes. If the garvy is too thick
add a galss of water and cok for 2 minutes.
